Hey Friends...as many of you know, my husband is in the police academy. I have to make his lunch every day. They don't have a refrigerator to keep their lunches in at the academy and they don't have access to a microwave. Poor Cameron is kind of getting tired of sandwiches. Does anybody have any good ideas that I can use for his lunch? Something that doesnt have to be cold to stay fresh and doesn't have to be heated up. Thanks for your help!!

I'd tell him to make his own dang lunch. I'm surprised out how many of my friends make lunch for their husbands. You're a better woman than I.
I wish I had a suggestion. You're in a tough spot.
How long is he out before he eats lunch? We've packed insulated bags with an ice pack before. Those last several hours. He still couldn't warm anything, but maybe a cold chicken salad or something.
If you have an little lunch cooler you could do some stuff. Here are Rich's suggestions: cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, pasta salad, beef jerky, fruit, doritos, licorice, tuna, cold pizza... I don't have much to add to that.
Who is Katie and WHO is the mother who raised her with such an attitude????? I used to make lunches for Kevin, get up and make his breakfast before he went to work, AND iron his shirts. Maybe you've forgotten, Katie.
Anyway, to the topic at hand: just a change in the sandwich thing is to make it as a tortilla wrap. I got tired of sandwiches too but when I started putting them in a wrap, they tasted totally different.
I'm also with Jeaninne with an icepack in a lunch cooler. A lot of things work in that.
